The American Budo Society is an organization of Independent Martial Arts Instructors and Students from Traditional Martial Arts Styles to more recently developed systems, united together for Education, Information, Safety, and Protection of Martial Arts Freedoms and Rights.

American Budo Society members are free to practice Martial Arts in accordance with their own style and testing requirements, but they are NEVER alone.

American Budo Society membership offers all its members many opportunities to expand their knowledge base and expose them to different styles of Martial Arts.

American Budo Society includes practitioners from Judo, Jujitsu, Karate, Tai Chi, Tae Kwon Do, Hapkido, Jeet Kune Do, Aikido, Nubreed Martial Arts Systems, Nubreed Kali/Silat and other Martial Arts.

The American Budo Society is a group of like-minded people who have one goal in mind. Our goal is to share knowledge and help our members. We have high ranking instructors that teach a variety of martial arts styles and systems that span the entire globe. We have all been in other organizations in the past, and have all had the same problems everyone else has had. We have broken all the old rules and designed this organization to do what others only claim to do. Help you and your school. But we back it up.

Cost- We don't overcharge for certificates. We feel strongly that no one should be denied a deserved promotion just because they cannot pay the exorbitant fees many organizations extract from their members. Many organizations charge several hundred dollars for this service. We never will. We keep everything affordable to assure that no one is left behind.

Autonomy- Our instructors on a local level have autonomy in their schools. They don't have to worry about someone, who doesn't even know them, butting in and telling them how to run their own dojo. When we charter an instructor and school, we make sure they deserve our trust…and from that point on we trust their authority to make promotions in their own school. That’s autonomy and it’s the right of an instructor. Why would other organizations not do this? Maybe to look bigger so they can charge more money.

Travel- We don’t require travel. Of course, anyone who wants to visit our organization and/or its members is more than welcome to do so. The fact that our instructors have autonomy locally removes the need for this. You have someone there with you on a local level that can watch your growth the entire time. There is no need for traveling expenses to somewhere else so some guy or board of black belts can look you over (every now and then) and collect a check.

These are a few of the things that make our organization different from the others. We are constantly trying to find ways to improve. Some organizations these days are solely about money or fame. It should be about the love of the art not the wallet. If you find yourself trapped in one of these organizations we can help. When you’re with us you'll never be alone. We are anxiously waiting to hear from YOU!
